Description: In this 2-part series we will explore what digital literacy skills are and how integrating them into your content instruction can actually benefit student learning of the content and digital literacy skills. We will review what digital literacy skills are, explore a digital tool resource, and develop some lesson ideas and teaching routines that will support teachers when they are developing their lesson plans and providing instruction. Participants will take the methods modeled in part 1 and for homework will integrate digital literacy skills into two or three of their own lessons. In the part 2 of the series, participants will share their integrated lesson ideas and we will review resources to support teachers as they continue to develop their digital literacy skill repertoire.
